It was a very good sunny day at WPK Library. 2 old guys were
sitting on one of the WPK benches. The other guy was smoking
a cigarette and he was almost finished with his cigarette. Then,
he thought he was finished with his cigarette. He threw the
cigarette to the side of the bench into a big pile of dried leaves
boom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fire started! Stephanie burst into
the library and yelled "The bench is on fire!" She said "How could
that bench get on fire?"
The librarians Sara and Lanham were running in and out of the
library with buckets of water trying to put out the fire. Lyndsy
couldn't because she had to watch the people- if not, people could
just burst behind the desk.
5 minutes later the firefighters came and dragged the hose to the
bench. One of them had an axe in his hand. He wasn't hitting the
bench but he was ready to.
The crowd was gathering around: Jesus, Sara, Lanham and the kids
were looking at the fire being put out.
That was the Great Bench Fire of 2010, it was cool!!!!!!!
